CommentDaughter,
You look up to me.
Please know that, like you, I am still growing up.
Today you made a bid for my attention, but I was lost in charts on a screen.
Forgive me. Chaos inhabits us all.
I will try to be better.
At your core, I see a burning light.
The world will attempt to suppress it. Snuff it out. Make it conform.
This hurts my heart, because I love you.
I take solace in this: It is the sharp and fiery edges of life that forge us and allow us to fulfill our potential.
I play for you.0%
